Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

This is a very new method of skin rejuvenation where there is the bio-stimulation of the cells of the dermis using an injection technique which uses the patient's own bio-active platelet rich plasma (PRP). The aim of these injections is to stimulate and regenerate aged and damaged skin and subcutaneous tissues. We basically remove around 12mls of blood per vial, centrifuge to remove the red blood cells and are left with Platelet Rich Plasma, which we then re-inject into areas to rejuvenate the skin.

Advantages of PRP

  • Autology: your own blood
  • Tissue regeneration and rejuvenation
  • Safety: non-allergenic and free from concerns over transmissible diseases such as HIV, Hepatitis B & C, CJD and so on
  • Faster healing: no fibrosis formation compared to some long term fillers, for example
  • Easy to use: dermal and hypo dermal injections require only one syringe and one needle
  • Convenience: PRP harvesting can be easily and quickly performed in our clinic. A sterile and registered specific kit for the blood puncture, the preparation of the plasma and the materials is used
  • Cost effectiveness

Why choose PRP?

  • skin rejuvenation: Fine wrinkles, fine skin under eyes
  • Improvement in skin texture and tone
