1) What is it?

For many peaople unwanted or excessive hair can be a real problem.
Traditional methods such as waxing, shaving or plucking, can be very painful and not very permanant.

we use only the most up to date Laser technology to target and remove unwanted hair painlessly.
For the most effective, permanent hair reduction, we use etheir GentleLASE® or GentleYAG® lasers and hence can treat all skin types and colours.

The gentlelase is used for skin types 1-4 (lighter), and the gentleyag is used for skin types 4-6(darker). There are no messy gels and both have the largest “spot size” on the market, ensuring fast,cost efficient treatments. These are medical grade lasers and proven to be the most effective hair removal devices. They are not  ipl ( intense pulsed light ), which tend to be less effective and more painful. There are many new cheap ipl machines coming from third world countries and they are not properly calibrated or are their power outputs consistant. 

2) Does it hurt?

Great news! We have recently been testing and are now using a revolutionary new skin cooling system which makes laser hair removal with the Candela Gentlelase almost painless.

All you will feel, if anything, is a slight heat sensation.

3) How many treatments will I need?For most areas you will require 6-10 treatments, about 6 weeks apart , this wll lead to permanent hair reduction of 85 -95% on average.                                                                                                                                                            

4) Are there any side effects?

Now with our new revolutionary  breakthrough technology we have all but eliminated the discoloration problems (which were only temporary), that occurred by using the Candela Gentlelase in it's standard form.

In a Nutshell, the skin needs to be cooled just prior to the laser firing. This is done to prevent damage to the skin  pigment as the laser beam passes through to damage the hair follicle (which is deeper).

The standard Candela Gentlase uses a system whereby it sprays a cooling gas (refirgerant r134a) onto the skin around 30 micro-seconds prior to the laser beam.

In it's time, this system was state of the art  as it made treatments less painful and was more effective than other skin cooling methods such as messy cooling gels, or refrigerated contact cooling tips, which tended to overheat with rapid use.

Unfortunately,the cryogen spray had it's own particular side effects, and we found that around 10% of clients were noticing pigment changes in the areas treated that could last up to six months.

Also, some were getting irritation and  pain from the cooling spray itself.

We have now eliminated all these side effects with our revolutionary new technology which uses gentle cooling  air instead of harsh refrigerant gas.

The new technology means that we are gently cooling the skin before, during, and after the laser beam, thereby making each shot painless !

5) What type of hair can be treated?

All dark and medium colour hair can be treated with these machines. Unfortunately there is no laser that can treat blond or grey hair.
