    LASER AID
There are many different types of skin lasers treatments being performed today. After the process is done patients have to deal with redness, irritation, and dryness. Laser Aid has been developed specifically to help during the post laser process.
Key Active Ingredients:

Hamamelis Virginiana (trade name Witch Hazel Extract) is a plant origin material with very broad activities.  It acts to soothe and tone, as well as being an excellent astringent material.

Trehalose and Hydrolysed vegetable protein (trade name Trealix) is combination of actives from mushrooms and vegetable materials.  It possesses excellent moisturising ability.

Vitamin E; acts as antioxidant, protecting skin from free radical damage and thus minimising the visible signs of premature ageing.

Horse Chestnut Extract; improves circulation to the skin.

BHT; acts as a powerful anti-oxidant.

Vitamin A; prevents excessive drying and promotes renewal of the skin.

 GLYCOLIC CLEANSER 12%

Glycolic acid is one of several alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) that are found in certain plants and fruits. Without a doubt, glycolic acid is the most astounding discovery of the last two decades in skincare. Improvement in skin texture can actually be seen in a short period of time, besides the wonderful clearing effect.

Glycolic acid works as an exfoliant, removing dead skin cells that have accumulated on the surface of the skin. The build-up of these dead cells accentuates fine lines and pores, dulls the appearance of the skin and produces a rougher skin texture. Glycolic Acid generates amazing improvement for sun damaged skin. Old cells detach more rapidly uncovering smoother, finer texture, and more supple skin. Texapon ALS; mild surfactant that helps cleansing of the skin in conjunction with Glycolic Acid.

Jojoba & nylon beads: spherical shape scrubbing beads, non abrasive, yet effective, action; don’t damage the skin during scrubbing; leave skin soft, after removal of dead skin cells.

Polypropylene beads, which tend to break readily with physical action (hence, they cannot be felt as readily), whereas the Jojoba & nylon beads do not break down.  Hence, two forms of exfoliation is achieved in the one scrub.

Extract of Lotus Japonicas Symbiosome (trade name Lotus Zymbiozome Fermentum) has lightening effect similar to Kojic Acid.  Its effect is on slowing down formation of tyrosinase.

Daisy Flower Blossom Extract (trade name Belides) is strong tyrosinase inhibitor based on antioxidative effect of its polyphenol fractions. Its activity starts in the beginning of melanogenesis.

Ethoxydiglycol (trade name Transcutol P) is very good solubiliser and penetrating agent and carrier for AHA.

Undaria Pinnatifida Extract (trade name Wakamine) is an active of marine origin. Its activity is related to reduction of melanin production in the skin. It has whitening ability, but works synergistically with other whitening materials thus enhancing whitening of the skin and reduction of appearance of sun and age spots.

EYE BELIEVE

Easyliance (mixture of Hydrolysed Rhizobian Gum and Acacia Senegal Gum); acts as a tensor with immediate effect as a combination of two natural polymers tightens the skin through mechanical action. Polymers form a film on the surface of the skin and skin becomes stretched for a period of time. RETINOL 0.25%
Retinol is a pure form of Vitamin A. Whilst AHAs promote superficial exfoliation, retinol promotes the renewal of skin. Retinol skincare products diminish visible appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and sun damage, lead to a smoother overall appearance of facial contours and more evenly-completed skin tone. Many also report that their skin appears more supple and healthier-looking.
Whilst Retinol is one of the most important ingredients in the cosmetic industry, its use is nevertheless, challenging. It is sensitive to light, oxygen and heat, resulting in significant loss of efficacy.
Our Encapsulated Retinol (Poly Pore 120RE) overcomes this challenge. With our micro-encapsulation technology, we offer a solution that protects sensitive Retinol-based ingredients from external influences such as UV light and oxygen by enclosing them in shells made from natural biopolymers. The active substances are released gradually and thus remain active for a long period of time.

The microcapsules deliver the ingredients directly to the point of action in the skin. Only when the shells are cracked by the skin’s natural enzymes is the active substance released.

This complex acts as cyto-immuno photo protector, containing no UV filters, but with broad spectrum activity. The function is to protect against early skin ageing, photooxidation (damage caused by free radicals produced by UV radiation).

Pistachio Nut Oil; Vegetable Oil from Pistachio Nuts has very good penetrating ability, dry after feel, spreads quickly leaving smooth skin surface.

VITAMIN C – 100%
One of the most important ingredients in skincare is Vitamin C. Research has shown that Vitamin C is amongst the most potent materials in skincare. Collagen is the substance that gives structure and strength to skin. Simply by growing older, there is a natural reduction of the production of collagen in the body, and this is revealed by the appearance of wrinkles on the skin. Regular application of Vitamin C will lead to a reduction in the visible appearance of wrinkles.
Most Vitamin C skincare products are not effective, as:

1.They are either in a water base. Vitamin C, when mixed with water dissolves and loses its efficacy in a very short period of time. Hence, such formulations tend to be completely ineffective; OR
2.They are in an oil base. Such formulations are only suitable for those with dry skin.

Skinstitut’s Vitamin C is in pure powder form and hence does not suffer from the abovementioned limitations. In addition, it is at a concentration of 100%, rather than around 15% for the average Vitamin C product.

PERFECT PROTECTION
 
It is estimated that 90% of sun damage is the result of unplanned or casual sun exposures when people may not have active photoprotection.  This might include riding in a car, walking outdoors briefly or stopping to talk with friends, without a sunscreen.   Multiple short and unprotected exposures to the sun may actually become more damaging over the course of a lifetime than a smaller number of lengthy exposures resulting in sunburn.

A sunscreen is the single most important part of any anti-ageing strategy.  Sunscreen is to skin, as brushing is to teeth. Daily use of sunscreen is required or one’s entire skincare strategy will be compromised.

Eurol BT (Olive Leaf Extract); multifunctional material with anti-ageing activity, as well as free radical scavenging properties, photoprotective activity. Also improves elasticity and hydration of the skin. It is also used in anti-acne skin care.

Glycerine; well known humectant (attracts water to the skin).

Tinosorb S; broad spectrum sun filter, excellent for UV-A protection, photostable, compatible with organic and inorganic filters; shows synergistic effect with UV-B filters to achieve high SPF.

Tinosorb M; in micronised particle form, highly effective sunscreen with triple action: UV absorption by a photostable organic molecule; light scattering ability and light reflection, due to its micro fine structure.

Regular use of a suitable moisturiser benefits your skin. The moisturiser not only replaces the water lost from the skin but also prevents its loss to the surroundings. It protects the skin against the drying influences of the environment such as the effects of the sun, cold and heat.
Like other organs in your body, your skin requires moisture as well as vitamins and minerals to keep it healthy and functioning properly.  Moisture is critical for healthy skin; much of the moisture you need comes from within your body chemistry. Moisturisers do not moisturise, they smooth and soften your skin. Good moisturisers, containing light oils and moisture-binding humectants, create a protective barrier for your skin thus keeping moisture in the outermost layer without clogging pores. The skin’s moisturising requirements differs for each skin type and it is for this reason that Skinstitut offers three moisturisers to cater for all skin types.

1.5% Synthetic Snake Venom (SNY®-AKE), Synthetic Tripeptide that mimics the effect of peptide found in the venom of the snake Temple Viper. The active part of the compound is Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate. Covitol 1100 (DL-alpha Tocopheryl Acetate); Vitamin E derivative has the same attribute as pure Vitamin E – acts as antioxidant, protecting skin from free radical damage and thus reducing the appearance of premature ageing.

Trehalose and Hydrolysed Vegetable Protein (trade name Trealix) is combination of actives from mushrooms and vegetable materials.  It possesses excellent moisturising ability by linking more water to the skin cells.

Ethoxydiglycol (trade name Transcutol P); a very good solubiliser and penetrating agent and carrier for AHA.

Rainforest harvest (mixed extract from fruits of 3 plants): Lillypilly (Syzygium Lenhmanis); Lemon Aspen (Acronychia Acidula);Davidsonia Plum (Davidsonia Pruriens). Fruits are rich in different fruit acids (AHA) thus helping with mild exfoliation, reduction of sebum from the skin and minimising pore openings. The other materials are different amino acids, vitamins, minerals that provide excellent food for skin cells and rejuvenation as well as good moisturising capability.

Sebaryl; complex of Amino Acids, Sulfurated Peptides, Vitamin B, Caffeine, Steroidic Heterosides of botanical origin and Zinc salts. These actives act as regulators of sebaceous gland secretion.

Eurol BT (Olive Leaf Extract); multifunctional material with anti-ageing activity, as well as free radical scavenging properties, photoprotective activity. Also improves elasticity and hydration of the skin. It is also used in anti-acne skin care.

Linked Papain (Enzyme Papain cross-linked with Carbomer); Papain is proteolitic enzyme that acts as very mild exfoliating agent. It could penetrate through the skin and cause damage (small molecules), but in linked form stays on the surface (big molecules) doing its exfoliating job in stratum corneum. In that way it smoothes the skin’s surface and acts as anti-ageing agent. It is milder than AHAs.

Pistachio Nut Oil; Vegetable Oil from Pistachio Nuts has very good penetrating ability, dry after feel, spreads quickly leaving smooth the skin’s surface.
